“We selected Angie Engelmeyer to advise us through the process based on her history of excellent service in the industry.”
Angie has always been involved in helping people. Born in the Netherlands where her father served in the Air Force, Angie and her family settled back home in St. Louis when she was two years old - and the St. Louis area has been home ever since!
Over the years, working as a loan processor for a law firm and a mortgage company, she developed a knowledge and understanding of real estate. Although she enjoyed the real estate business, Angie quickly realized that she wanted to feel connected to the people, and not only to their paperwork.
Eventually transitioning into Property Management, it didn’t take long before she found herself managing 252 units and 11 buildings. With her warm and friendly demeanor and her natural people skills, she grew to love and be loved by those families that she served for over 10 years. As Angie puts it, “The residents became like family to me. Over the years, I’d watched them get married, have children, graduate and even share in their excitement when some of them left to buy homes of their own.”
Over the course of the last several years, Angie found herself thinking that perhaps it was time to get her Real Estate License. After meeting with Grant Hickman, she knew that he was the right Broker for her. “I liked how family oriented GHREA seemed. My visit with Grant felt helpful and inviting and I knew that as a licensee, this was the place for me to call home.” said Angie.
Along with her husband Kris and their children, her free time is often spent enjoying camping, watching the Cardinals games and being involved in her children’s activities - especially softball and baseball. Being an active participant in the community is very important to Angie. Over the years she has volunteered for the PTO at her children’s schools, been a Girl Scout leader and a dedicated Softball Coach. This degree of involvement and commitment are among the many things that contribute to Angie’s community and family spirit.
A happy addition to the GHREA family, Angie is excited to use her experience and love of people to help families who are looking to buy, sell or build a home!
