Living in St. Charles and working in St. Louis most of her life, Sandy developed a genuine dedication to her community. Now married to her high school sweetheart and the mother of three, she can still recall the feelings of safety and friendliness that she experienced in her childhood, during the construction of her St. Charles City subdivision.
Earning her Bachelor's Degree in social work from St. Louis University and her Master's from Washington University, with a focus on gerontology, Sandy has always had a heart for serving. In addition to working as an Administrator of Gateway Accessible Housing, she was a diversified volunteer, who often found herself working with her church, her children's schools and her community. Sandy eventually became a sports coach for Lutheran High School and in 2005, transitioned into a full-time teacher and counselor. But as fate would have it, becoming a grandmother to twins and wanting to help her daughter, created a need for greater career flexibility.
A talented and resourceful professional, Sandy pursued and attained her real estate license in 2012. After meeting Grant Hickman through a business associate, she was excited to become part of Grant's team in 2014. Working in historic St. Charles and serving as President of the St. Charles Park Board, the growth and improvement of her community has remained a high priority.
With a heart for helping others and a private and professional background that gave her insight and understanding of people, Sandy quickly realized that being a real estate advisor was a great choice for her. "Even as a child I was interested in houses. I had a particular passion for historic houses. But I knew this was the right path for me when I helped a young couple get their first home. I was helping to make their dreams come true, and loved being part of their story."
Sandy's dedication to her community, church and family along with her versatile background and understanding of people, makes her an excellent advisor. Whether buying, selling or building a home, her desire is to help families achieve their dreams!
